The Asian Palate, Buena Vista’s first Thai and Sushi restaurant, was opened in May, 2008, by chef-owner Eddie Sandoval.  Eddie, an accomplished chef and sushi chef, moved from Edwards, Colorado to pursue his dream of opening his own “bistro”. 

With the help of Barb Zuker, owner of the Evergreen Cafe, Eddie opened for dinner four nights a week at her establishment, where she serves  breakfast and lunch. 

It was an overwhelming success and the community support was fantastic.  With the encouragement of friends, family and the community, Eddie moved to his own location and opened the doors of The new Asian Palate on July 1, 2009. 

He continues to serve delicious food prepared with all the freshest ingredients, including local organic produce and locally raised meats.  The fish is flown in fresh from Hawaii.
